You will complete a quiz based on the resources in the Professional Skills:Academic Writing module, including  Paraphrasing in Research, Finding Key Resources, the Reading a Research Paper Handout, and Iterative Process of Reading a Research Article, and NC LIVE research database.

Academic Dishonesty Is...

Having another student or person other than you complete your quiz.  Copying, storing, or sharing quiz questions for anyone else to use.   Resetting or defeating the time limit.

HOW do I submit this assignment?  

 You can use your own notes and resources, BUT clicking off/ onto another part of Canvas while in the quiz will close and submit the quiz.   The quiz contains multiple choice questions. Time limit and number of questions is listed above.  Click "Take the Quiz" button to start.  

HOW Am I Graded?  

You have *two* attempts to pass the quiz (75% or better).  Email the instructor if you do not pass after the two attempts.

WHAT's Next?

Most of your instructors and courses will include significant writing or research components.  Many of our classes will have you read or find original research articles; or to paraphrase ideas using very specific evidence.  At NCSSM, unless you include very specific evidence and ideas to answer a question and prove an argument, you are going to get a low grade.  Many students are used to getting an 'A' on essays without really reading the resource they are responding to. 

You have several assignments related to readings on mindsets and grit where you will apply these resources.
