WHAT is the assignment? 

Four Zoom sessions will be offered as part of the course.  You need to pick one to attend.  See the Canvas announcements for details.  Attendance and participation in Zoom completes the assignment (so no due date is posted here, see Canvas Announcements for times!).  

Zoom is the webconferencing tool used by NCSSM and other UNC campuses or schools.  Other tools similar to Zoom include Blackboard Collaborate, WebEx, Adobe Connect, and Go2Meeting.
Zoom is very easy to use, and similar to Google Hangout or Apple Facetime in ease of use.  Faculty will also use Google Hangouts for one on one or small group meetings.
 

WHY should I complete this assignment?

Ensure Cisco WebEx will work correctly on all computers you may use in this course; practice basic tools of the WebEx webconference program AND get to know your classmates by discussion your Circle of Success and Goals and Interests Assignments. 
 

HOW Should I Complete It? 

You just need to follow the submission directions below, and have a printed copy of your Goals/Interests and Expectations of Success assignment, or have them available on another computer or monitor.  Also, check out the Padlet (where you all posted your picture and your location) to share any common interests.  This is mostly a chance to get to know each other!

 

HOW do I submit this assignment?  

There is no submission here.  You will participate through a separate software tool, WebEx. 

First.  Check on a session time when you can attend.  The instructors will announce which sessions are coming up.  Find one that fits your schedule and mark your calendar.
Second.  Join the Zoom sessions.  Zoom is integrated into Canvas, and the Zoom links will appear in Canvas in this module.
Third.  Look for a link to the session.  The instructors will post one!  Join the session 10  minutes prior to the start time.
Fourth.  Have earbuds or a microphone headset plugged into your computer's microphone jack. 
 
If no technology problems occur, this activity should take 30 minutes or less!
HOW am I Graded?
You will graded complete/incomplete by your instructor.  For "complete' you must participate in all portions of the Zoom activity.
