NCSSM Canvas Student Orientation

This self-paced orientation course contains everything you'll need to know to get started using Canvas. Think of Canvas as your virtual classroom, where you will turn in assignments, watch videos, participate in forums, and collaborate with your classmates.

Objectives

Upon the completion of this course, you will be able to:

Navigate within Canvas and customize your personal settings
Communicate with your teacher and classmate using the Canvas communication tools
Turn in assignments and take quizzes

Content in this course will be updated from time to time, so be sure to check back if you ever have a question about Canvas. It is meant to be a reference for you to use during your time as an NCSSM student. You can find this course by clicking the "Help" menu in Canvas and choosing "Canvas Student Orientation."

It's best to move through the course sequentially the first time you complete the orientation. Clicking "Modules" in the course menu allows you to view a table of contents for this course.
